Where is the mainstage smash tournament? ›

Mainstage 2022 was a tournament held in Ontario, California on December 2-4, 2022. It featured singles and doubles for Melee and Ultimate. The six top placing players, Sparg0, Tweek, Big D, Light, ApolloKage, and Kurama qualified for Smash Ultimate Summit 6.

It does not refer to the main character of a game (i.e. protagonist). A player's main character, usually shortened to main, is the character a person uses the most often, or is the only character they play competitively. For instance, Ken's main in Super Smash Bros. Melee is Marth.
